E!-Entertainment is a media company within the Comcast International Media Group. In the UK their primary activity is the provision of content to TV networks, in addition to their own digital TV channel.

E! Entertainment expanded into the UK in 2003 and has undergone strong steady growth since then. Their UK office is based in the centre of the creative industries sector in London’s west end and is now the headquarters of the EMEA region.

The UK staff are focused on the creative aspects of the business and therefore the company decided it would neither be appropriate nor efficient to have an in-house accounts department in the UK.

BRAL has worked with E!-Entertainment since 2003 providing them with a management reports pack to a deadline of the 3rd working day each month (after receiving base data on the 2nd), along with general administration services including completion of VAT returns, payment of suppliers and assisting with withholding tax issues that arise within Europe. BRAL are also able to reclaim European VAT incurred by the company as opposed to simply UK VAT.

The UK operation has been growing significantly and the reporting requirements have become gradually more complex. As the head of the EMEA region, the company now requires management reports on a geographic basis as well as a departmental basis. This reporting extends beyond the profit and loss account to include departmental and geographic balance sheets.
